It was reported yesterday that David Field, director of the Australian feature film The Combination was devastated by the ban instilled by Greater Union, canceling the screening of the film in four Greater Union Cinema’s in Sydney’s western suburbs, due to an outbreak of violence among patrons.
After making world wide news yesterday the cinema chain has decided to lift the ban and would on Wednesday resume screening of the gritty movie about Lebanese-Australian gangs with heightened security provided by the distributor, Australian Film Syndicate.
