TV Actors Tour Film Project

Combining cultural and creative forces New Zealand actor, Johnny Barker, best known for playing serial killer Joey Henderson on Shortland Street, and Home and Away star, Australian actor Mark Furze have been touring New Zealand summer spots with the Coca-Cola Beach Base using their acting, musical and film making talents on an experimental film project.

The three-stop tour involves filming a movie – directed by Henderson – using Furze as the lead actor and the crowds who come to the Beach Base as the other actors and extras.

Filming was taking place each day, as was talent spotting for a confident teenager to be flown to Orewa, north of Auckland, next weekend for a cameo role in the eventual film.

The other reason Barker was selected to direct the project is because he’s a previous winner of the 48-Hour Film Competition…www.stuff.co.nz reports.
