The 2009 Adelaide Film Festival program has been launched and will open with Sarah Watts‘ new Australian feature film, My Year Without Sex, starring Aussie actor Matt Day.
…The fourth AFF will present 23 world premieres and 62 Australian premieres, with 38 Australian films, including nine new Australian features which are among 143 films from more than 49 countries!
More than 180 international guests will attend the festival, including programmers from the Edinburgh, Toronto, Cannes and Pusan film festivals!
…Key international titles will compete for the Natuzzi International Award for Best Feature Film and the prize will be judged by a jury including novelist JM Coetzee and The Australian’s David Stratton.
The Producer of Lantana and The Piano, Jan Chapman, will be honoured with the Don Dunstan Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Australian film industry.
