Pyrmont Village presents the 2008 Newtown Festival. Celebrating its 30th year this Sunday. The event brings together creative performers from all genre’s, from street theatre and live bands to writers, poets and even a dog show!
There will be:
• 6 stages with over 60 bands and other acts
• Newtown Writer’s Tent
• Eco events – Planet Ark Park, The Watershed, The Bower
• 280 stalls – food, handmade and artist crafts, fairtrade
• Kidszone Dreamland
• Newtown Dog show
• Street theatre and art spaces – Newtown Performance Poets
• Licensed Bars
The Newtown Festival is a fundraiser for the services the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre provides to the homeless in the community, so remember to donate money to the coin collectors at the entry gates.
