Joel Edgerton will play the role of Stanley Rowalski to Cate Blanchett’s Blanche duBois in next year’s Sydney Theatre Company production of “A Streetcar Named Desire”.
The original “A Streetcar Named Desire” opened Dec 3, 1947 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Blanche duBois was played by Jessica Tandy and Stanley Rowalski was originated by Marlon Brando.
Joel Edgerton is represented by Carol Bodie at International Creative Management (ICM) in America, and Ann Churchill Brown at Shanahan Management in Australia.
